The Wine Doctor is Edward Finstein, renown international wine expert with 30 years of professional experience. In the past, he has hosted numerous TV shows including "Vine and Dine" on PRIME. You can catch his weekly, radio Wine Features on Boom 97.3 (formerly EZ Rock) on the FM dial every Wednesday between 5:15 and 5:30 pm.

Finstein is the award-winning author of Ask the Wine Doctor (McClelland & Stewart) which won Best Wine Education Book in English for the Rest of the World at the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Spain. He writes numerous regular wine columns in newspapers, magazines and on the internet across the country and abroad as well freelancing for many more. He also writes for Food Network Canada on TV.

Current wine related activities
As an International Wine Judge, Edward Finstein travels the world over judging regularly in competitions. He is a professor of wine at George Brown College’s Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts. He lectures around the world and conducts guided tours to wine regions. He is one of the few wine appraisers in Canada. He is a consultant to restaurants, hotels and trade commissions creating wine lists and doing staff training. Look for his new wine mystery novel, soon to be published.

In his capacity as the "good doctor" he believes that wine should be fun, enjoyable and part of a healthy lifestyle. There is no place for snobbery and intimidation when it comes to the nectar of the grape. The gospel according to "Doc" is to pass on wine knowledge through understanding and a sense of humour.
